Step 2: Install the Site Kit Plugin
- Click on Installed Plugins to view your current plugins.
- In the top left corner of the page, click on the Add New button.
- In the search bar, type Google Site Kit and press Enter.
You will see several plugins available for installation. Look for Site Kit by Google, which boasts over 4 million installations and good ratings. This plugin is also compatible with most versions of WordPress.
Step 3: Install and Activate Site Kit
Click on the Install Now button for the Site Kit plugin. Once the installation is complete, the button will change to Activate. Click on it to activate the plugin. After activation, you’ll find the Google Site Kit option in the side navigation bar.
Step 4: Sign In with Your Google Account
To set up Site Kit, you’ll need to sign in with your Google account.
- Click on Site Kit in the sidebar.
- Click on the Sign in with Google button.
- Choose your Google account from the list.
- Click on the Continue button on the subsequent page.
Step 5: Enable AdSense and Follow On-Screen Instructions
Once logged in, you’ll need to toggle on the options relevant to your setup and click on Continue. Follow the on-screen instructions carefully to add AdSense code to your WordPress site.
